Zappa Plays Zappa - LA Wiltern Tix Under Face

Some friends had me buy a couple tickets for this show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on Aug.23 and then decided to bail on me. So, now I have 2, maybe 3, extra floor tickets. They cost me $59.50 plus ticketmaster fees each, but I'll give them to you for a flat $50. Please send me a personal message through tribe if you are interested.

I hope this type of post is accepted here and I apologize if it is not. That said, I found this nice video on a different tribe of ZPZ. Looks great.

There is a force in the universe and beyond. He is Hashem...what you say that sounds funny? It is not funny. It means The Name, rather then saying Jehovah or Yehweh. Wich i add are incorrect. You say... isnt that Jewish? Know its not. Is God Jewish? Is Marx a prophet... no? Good then that means i am not anti-semetic when stating that Jews have worshiped his shrine way to long and have made a impact on the world that is undeserving. Why? Need Help finding a Zappa song

I'm looking for a Frank Zappa song I heard back in the 80's, when I was driving between New York and DC. It had a line about a trunk driver, driving a load of string beans. He goes into a pool hall, and Thats it. I was out of the stations range, and I never heard the rest.

"In these recorded comments by Slonimsky, his musical world (classical/avant garde) and that of Frank Zappa (popular/avant garde) came together primarily due to the publication of a book by Slonimsky on scales and harmonies that attracted Zappa’s attention. Slonimsky recounts his acceptance of an invitation by Zappa to play with his Rock Band. He also recounts how amazed he was when he observed Zappa’s scores for classical music which looked “far out” like something Edgar Varese would write, a composer who was admired by both Slonimsky and Zappa."

Due to circumstances beyond my control I've had to part with a lot of my vinyl (having a love / hate relationship with Ameba right now). The thing that really gets me about all this however, is that I had to part with my Zappa collection. It's killing me. I had 75% of what Zappa had released on vinyl, including but not limited to Freak Out! We're Only In It For The Money, Crusin' With Rubin And The Jets, Lumpy Gravy and others. I really will miss those records. I have some duplicated on CD but it's just not the same. The shit of it all is that it's such a buyers market right now I didn't get nearly what they were worth. I guess I was just hoping to commiserate with a few sympathetic, understanding music lovers.
